Nourishing Hot Cocoa

Chapter Twenty-Seven

Dreamiest Hot Cocoa

If you’re anything like me, you love hot chocolate especially during this time of year. When all the blankets and puffy jackets come out it seems almost mandatory to have a cup of soothing, thick, cocoa to warm our insides. But people like us don't just like hot chocolate, we love it so much we want it to be good for us, just so we can enjoy it every night of the winter season.

This hot cocoa is actually amazing, it tastes beyond delicious, and it's nourishing enough to get you ready for bed without any crazy sugar spikes or highs. It tastes just indulgent enough, it's smooth, crazy thick, and the collagen helps for a better night's sleep.

The main ingredients in this recipe all come together to make a hot cocoa that's insanely thick, you’d never know there was only cacao in it! You want to start by heating up your saucepan, pouring in your milk of choice, vanilla, nut butter, cacao, collagen, and coconut sugar. Whisk constantly as it heats and smoothes out. Bring to a boil and then immediately pour! Make sure you check the taste and add more as you see fit. This recipe is easily customizable so be sure to tweak based on how you or your family prefer hot cocoa!

The ingredients that make up the thickness in this recipe are collagen, nut butter, and organic cacao. Along with whisking constantly, you're ensuring incredibly voluminous hot chocolate that tastes beyond delicious. I love to use Manna Butter Hazelnut Truffle nut butter, no this is not a sponsored post, I just absolutely adore the taste and it has all the feel good ingredients without any of the refined sugar and gunk!
